The Bärsärkagången is a two-day event in June, with start and finish in Ursvik in Sundbyberg, and with courses that reach right into central Stockholm. The two daily routes pass through densely built-up urban environments, residential areas, industrial areas, parks and nature conservation areas.
The Bärsärkagån in 2024 will be held for the 36th time.

The Bärsärkagången has been organized 34 times previously by Frösunda Mångkampsförening.

Distances
20, 30 or 40 km per day.
Surfaces
The surface is asphalt, concrete and paving stones, dirt roads and forest paths.
Tracks
The courses are documented, partly as text-based directions, partly as maps on paper.

Saturday-Sunday 17-18 June 2023.

Assembly at 07:30 both days, joint start at 08:00:00, finish no later than 18:00:00.

Liquid and light refreshments are provided along each course.
Purpose
Bärsärkagången is not a competition between the participants, but the purpose of the event is to encourage the participants to train up and over the year maintain and strengthen such general resilience and physical endurance that one is able to carry out such a performance that corresponds to the event.
Goal
The goal of the Bärsärkagången is for the participants to be able to cover the selected distance without injury. The expected end state is that the participant after the second day's finish line is proud, happy and unharmed.
Diploma
All participants who complete at least 20 km per day for two days receive a diploma.
Medal
Samtliga deltagare som fullföljer minst 20 km per dag under två dagar tilldelas medalj.
Soldier Qualification
Employees of the Armed Forces or members of a voluntary defense organization can register for participation in the Soldier Qualification, which is conducted in parallel on Saturday 17 June. Collection at the start at 07:30.
The organizer is the Stockholm Cavalry and Ranger Command Association. 30 km must then be covered with at least 10.0 kg of packing within a maximum of 7 hours and 30:00 minutes to obtain this year's version of the Armed Forces' Soldier's Qualification Badge.

Individuals who walk 40 km on Saturday, June 17, must cover another 10 km after completing the Soldier's Qualification. Cooperate with the Marching Leader for the Bärsärkagången.
March test
Bärsärkagången Stockholm is an approved marching test to be admitted to the Swedish military delegation at the Nijmegen march. Register in advance if you intend to take this exam and would like a certificate of completed exam from the Chancellery.

Adults or minors from the age of 10 with guardian's consent.
